At the beginning of April I visited Cologne – a city which I had never visited yet and where I was especially looking forward to the famous cathedral. Unfortunately the weather was not the best which means it was mainly grey and rainy. The cathedral was of course still impressive, especially from the inside:
I skipped the climb up the tower since the view wouldn’t have been that great due to the weather. Instead, I went on quite a long stroll around the center and the adjacent neighbourhoods. To be honest: I wasn’t really impressed by anything! 😉 There were of course some nice churches here and there – and I did visit them all for lack of other sightseeing options.
Other than that, the streets were rather boring, but of course there were some nice hidden corners here and there.
Luckily I had decided to couchsurf in Cologne for once again and was really lucky with my host Fabiana. On Saturday we went partying together so that on Sunday there was not much sightseeing „necessary“ anymore 😉 Oh well, it was anyways raining again. What I did still like was the Hohenzollern Bridge with all the locks placed on there by different couples:
Cologne – it was nice to explore you, but you are not a big sight for me… Still, here is the link to all the photos!
